Green Smoothie Superfood Recipe
/Some days I find it hard to get my fix of fruit and veg in every meal, I feel like I have the time...So in a matter of minutes I blitz up my own super healthy green smoothie.
I've been recommending this to everyone for years. It always makes me feel great afterwards and It's packed full of energy. I love the real buzz i get after every glass.
Personally I don't like adding false sugars or honey so use a banana instead. The spices are great for your metabolism and the Chai Seeds keep you fuller for longer.
This is my recipe but feel free to make adjustment to find what works best for you. Just blend together the following ingredients:
- 1 x Banana (Thickens and Sweetens)
- 1 x Apple
- 1 x Pear
- 2 sticks of Celery chopped
- 1 chopped Carrot
- Handful of Spinach or Kale
- Handful of chopped Fresh Mint
- A pinch of Cayenne Pepper
- 1 cm chopped Fresh Ginger
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- Chai Seeds
- Juice of half a lemon
- Water
Now just enjoy after a good run...
