Pierre Moray Meursault vs Fuder Chardonnay
/To partner the escargot we have the big Chardonnay match up...like pacquiao vs mayweather....it's Pierre Moray Meursault 2009 vs Fuder single vineyard Clayvin Chardonnay 2011, by Giesen from New Zealand.
Side by side the Fuder started out the best but as soon as the Meursault started to open up, it took the honours trophy Elegance, nuttyness, fruit & finish.
It just goes to show how important the vintage is in Burgundy. Even village level wines can be glorious in great vintages.
